Portland Heads to Second-Round of WHL Playoffs; Will Take On Everett Silvertips: With the Winterhawks incredible Game 7 victory over the Spokane Chiefs on Tuesday night, Portland is moving on to the second round of the WHL Playoffs to face off with the Everett Silvertips. The Silvertips are coming off a 4-1 series victory over the Seattle Thunderbirds in the first round.

Winterhawks and Silvertips; Head-to-Head in Regular Season: Portland won the regular season series against Everett, 5-4-0-1. Cody Glass led all Hawks scorers with 13 points in 10 games versus Everett. Skyler McKenzie and Kieffer Bellows both had seven goals against the Silvertips. Winterhawks goaltender, Cole Kehler, put up excellent numbers versus Everett during the regular season, posting a 5-3-1 record with a 2.47 goals-against-average and a .924 save percentage.
This will be the sixth time in Winterhawks franchise history that they have met Everett in the postseason.

Winterhawks Knock Off Spokane in Game 7; Win First Round Series: Kieffer Bellows scored the game-winning goal with under five minutes remaining in regulation, and the Hawks would go on to beat the Chiefs 3-1 in Game 7 on Tuesday. With the victory, Portland took the best-of-seven series, 4-3, over Spokane. It's the second straight season that the Winterhawks have advanced into the second-round, and seventh straight season under Head Coach Mike Johnston. Winterhawks' NHL First-Round Draft Picks Enjoy Massive First-Round for Portland: All four of Portland's first-round NHL draft picks enjoyed excellent opening series in the WHL Playoffs. Cody Glass, the Vegas Golden Knights first-round pick, led all Hawks in points with 11 in seven games. Kieffer Bellows, a first-rounder of the New York Islanders, had nine points in seven games and picked up the game-winning goal in Game 7. Detroit Red Wings first-rounder, defenseman Dennis Cholowski, led all Hawks players in goals with four. While, Chicago Blackhawks first-round pick, defenseman Henri Jokiharju, had seven points in seven games.
