Winterhawks Open Playoffs Saturday At Rose Garden

The Portland Winterhawks will take on the Spokane Chiefs in the first round of the 2010 WHL Playoffs, with Game One taking place Saturday, March 20 at the Rose Garden at 7 p.m., and Game Two taking place Sunday, March 21 at the Rose Garden at 5 p.m.

The Chiefs will finish fourth in the Western Conference and the Winterhawks will be fifth, giving Spokane home ice advantage. However, because Spokane's arena is booked next weekend with the NCAA men's basketball tournament, the Winterhawks will host the first two games of the series. The series schedule is as follows:

Game 1: Saturday, March 20 at the Rose Garden, 7 p.m. Game 2: Sunday, March 21 at the Rose Garden, 5 p.m. Game 3: Wednesday, March 24 at Spokane, 7 p.m. Game 4: Friday, March 26 at Spokane, 7 p.m. Game 5*: Saturday, March 27 at Spokane, 7 p.m. Game 6*: Monday, March 29 at the Rose Garden, 7 p.m. Game 7*: Wednesday, March 31 at Spokane, 7 p.m.

Single game playoff tickets will go on sale Monday at Noon at all Ticketmaster locations and online at ticketmaster.com, as well as the Rose Quarter box office and the Winterhawks' ticket office in the Memorial Coliseum.
