Winterhawks Announce Partnership with J.P. Wiser's
March 26, 2023 - Western Hockey League (WHL)
Portland Winterhawks News Release
Portland, Ore. - The Portland Winterhawks Hockey Club is proud to announce a new partnership with J.P. Wiser's, four-time 'Distillery of the Year' winner at the Canadian Whisky Awards, for the remainder of the regular season and the 2023 WHL Playoffs.
To enhance the fan experience on game days, J.P. Wiser's award-winning Canadian whiskey is now the official whiskey of the Portland Winterhawks. J.P. Wiser's is Canada's oldest, continuously produced whiskey family, and the Hawks are proud to put it on our ice in the Pacific Northwest.
A crowd-pleasing, light smooth Canadian whisky made through traditional processes, J.P. Wiser's Deluxe is a light blend of double-column distilled corn, which makes a soft and rich whisky. It has a fragrance of dried fruits, caramel, vanilla, and well-balanced mature oak. It drinks perfectly on its own, with soda, or in a boilermaker, making it the perfect game day beverage.
There will be exclusive tastings in the Winterhawks Club Lounge on game days and the Hawks will sell J.P. Wiser's Canadian whiskey inside the arena at Entry CC and Entry GG.
ABOUT J.P. WISER:
In 1857, before Canada was even Canada, J.P. Wiser was distilling and barrelling whisky in Prescott, Ontario. By the early 1900's, J.P. Wiser was selling whisky all over the world, growing to become Canada's third largest distiller. His choice to age his whisky longer than others at the time led to both its quality and its popularity. Today, we care about quality as much as our founder, from grain to glass, and we're proud to carry the legacy of J.P. Wiser's forward.
