
Winterhawks Acquire Reid Mackay from Lethbridge

Portland, Ore. - The Portland Winterhawks, proud member club of the Western Hockey League, announced today that the club has acquired forward Reid MacKay (pronounced muh-KYE) from the Lethbridge Hurricanes in exchange for a conditional eight-round selection in the 2024 WHL Prospects Draft.
MacKay (6'0", 176 lbs.) was originally selected by the Lethbridge Hurricanes in the third round (#65 overall) of the 2019 WHL Draft.
He played 22 games with Lethbridge over the course of two seasons, registering two points and four penalty minutes. The Irma, Alta. native finished the 2021-22 season with the Lloydminster Bobcats of the Alberta Junior Hockey League and scored one goal in 13 games.
MacKay will report to Portland in time for the team's Neely Cup training camp.
