Vancouver, B.C. - The Vancouver Giants in conjunction with the Western Hockey League are pleased to announce that the 22nd season of Vancouver Giants hockey will officially begin on Friday, September 23rd, 2022 when the G-Men host the reigning Western Conference Playoff champion Seattle Thunderbirds at 7:30 PM.
For just the third time in a span of 22 years, the Giants will kick off their home schedule against the Seattle Thunderbirds. The Giants are 1-0-1 lifetime against Seattle in home openers having defeated the T-Birds 3-2 on September 25, 2015. The two teams also played to a 4-4 tie back on September 19th, 2003.
The complete 2022-23 Vancouver Giants regular season schedule will be released later in the week.
