Hawks forward Dan Da Silva's goal early in the 3rd period lifted the Portland Winter Hawks to a 3-2 win over the Everett Silvertips at The Rose Garden on Friday night. With the loss, the Silvertips drop their record to 23-19-7-1.
The Silvertips tallied 2 goals in the 2nd period by John Dahl and Mitch Love. Marc Desloges, Mark Kress and Michael Wuchterl each added assists for Everett in the loss. Portland outshot Everett by a margin of 36-16 in the hockey game. The Tips' went 1 for 4 on the power play and the Hawks went 0 for 1 on the extra man advantage.
The Silvertips are back in action on Saturday night when they face off with the Kamloops Blazers at the Everett Events Center. Game time is set for 7:05 p.m. For tickets contact the Silvertips office at 425-252-5100.
