RAIN FORCES TUESDAY POSTPONEMENT The Dash's Tuesday clash with the Frederick Keys was postponed due to rain. This game will now be made up as part of a doubleheader on Monday, May 27, with game one scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. This will be the second straight season that Winston-Salem and Frederick will square off in a twin bill on Memorial Day.

HEISLER'S ON-BASE STREAK Dating back to last season, Winston-Salem outfielder Adam Heisler has reached base in 34 straight games, which is the third-longest current streak in Minor League Baseball. Jamal Austin of High Desert (High-A, Seattle) has reached safely in 38 straight games, while Scooter Gennett of Nashville (Triple-A, Milwaukee) is working on a 35-game run. Both Austin and Gennett have played with two different teams during their streaks, while Winston-Salem is Heisler's third team over his last 34 games.

MORE ON THE STREAK Heisler made his way aboard in the final three contests of 2012 while with rookie-level Great Falls before finding his way on base in all 31 games thus far this season (19 with Low-A Kannapolis and 12 with Winston-Salem). Heisler has hit safely in 27 of these 34 games, and he owns a .303 (40-for-132) average with 15 RBIs and 23 runs scored during this streak.

FARRELL IS GOING STREAKING, TOO Dash infielder Jeremy Farrell boasts an eight-game hitting streak, which is the longest active run in the Carolina League. Teammate Mark Haddow and Salem slugger Garin Cecchini both posted 11-game streaks, which are the longest on the circuit this season. Farrell is hitting .364 (12-for-33) with three homers and 12 RBIs. The former Pittsburgh farmhand has also driven in a run in six of his last seven games, propelling him into the Carolina League's lead in RBIs with 25. Farrell leads the duo of Trever Adams (Myrtle Beach) and Michael Taylor (Potomac) by three for the CL's top spot in RBIs.

ERROR FREE IS THE WAY TO BE Winston-Salem leads the Carolina League in fielding percentage (.976), and the Dash boast the lowest error total on the circuit (28). The Dash stumbled out of the gates defensively, amassing 10 errors in the first four games and 21 in the first 14. Since then, though, the Dash have only made seven defensive miscues in their last 17 games. In that span, Winston has recorded 11 error-free games. Four Dash defenders possess active errorless streaks of 15 games or more, led by Grant Buckner's 25-game run without an error to begin 2013.

RARE SKID Winston-Salem has lost three straight home games by a combined score of 26-10. The Dash are in danger of matching their longest home losing streak in BB&T Ballpark history. Winston-Salem also dropped four straight in the Triad from May 18-21 of 2011 (two against Myrtle Beach and two against Salem). A year ago, the Dash only had one three-game losing streak at BB&T Ballpark, and it took place from August 26-29. Winston-Salem has not suffered a sweep in its 67 all-time series inside BB&T Ballpark.

MORE THAN A DASH OF INJURIES Winston-Salem has five players on its disabled list, including three players who have been with the team at some point this season: outfielder Courtney Hawkins (left shoulder), infielder Rangel Ravelo (left thumb laceration) and right-handed reliever Steven Upchurch (right elbow). Righty Andrew Brackman and outfielder Brady Shoemaker are also on the Dash's DL, but they have not been with the team yet in 2013.

ONE MILLIONTH FAN AT BB&T BALLPARK The Dash expect to welcome their one millionth fan to BB&T Ballpark sometime this month, which would be the fastest a High-A facility would reach this attendance milestone. Through three-plus seasons at BB&T Ballpark, the franchise has drawn 990,079 fans, which is the highest total in High-A baseball in that span.
