WINSTON-SALEM DASH (23-20, 53-59) vs. LYNCHBURG HILLCATS (21-21, 55-57)

RHP Tyler Danish (4-2, 3.10 ERA) vs. LHP Daniel Watts (2-3, 5.18 ERA)

5 p.m. - BB&T Ballpark (Winston-Salem, N.C.) Game #113 (Home Game #59)

ONE-RUN WIN PROPELS DASH TO FIRST Winston-Salem stands alone in first place in the Southern Division's second-half standings thanks to its 5-4 win over the Lynchburg Hillcats on Saturday night at BB&T Ballpark. The Dash plated all five of their runs in the third against starter Cody Scarpetta, who did not get through the frame. With two on and two down in the inning, Joey DeMichele launched a towering pop up to center, but it dropped in front of Will Skinner for a go-ahead two-run double. Starter Brandon Brennan earned a victory in his High-A debut (5IP, 2 R-ER, 6 H), while three relievers combined to give up just one run in four frames.

BACK IN FIRST With this 5-4 win and Myrtle Beach's 5-3 loss to Salem, the Dash are alone in first for just the second day all season. Winston also stood alone atop the Southern Division after a 5-2 win at Frederick on June 27, when Winston was 6-3 in half two. The Dash have won six of their last seven games and nine of their last 13. Winston-Salem would clinch a playoff spot alongside Myrtle Beach by finishing with a better second-half record than both Carolina and Salem.

DeMICHELE'S DOMINANT DAY Infielder Joey DeMichele went 3-for-4 with two doubles and a triple in Saturday's narrow victory. This marks the second time a Winston-Salem hitter has logged three extra-base hits in one game, with DeMichele also turning in the other. On April 27 in Salem, DeMichele set a Dash record (2009-present) with five runs scored and matched a high-water mark with five hits. This was the Phoenix native's first multi-hit game since July 13, a span of 16 games without one.

TWO MORE ROSTER MOVES Over the last five days, the White Sox have announced 12 transactions affecting the Dash's roster. On Sunday, Nick Basto was placed on the disabled list, while fellow infielder Zach Voight was recalled from Low-A Kannapolis. Voight is Winston's designated hitter on Sunday.

RODON TO PITCH AGAIN SUNDAY Left-hander Carlos Rodon will make his second High-A appearance and fourth Minor League outing in Sunday's finale against Lynchburg. Rodon will once again pitch out of the bullpen for the Dash. The former NC State star made his Winston-Salem debut on Wednesday and gave up two runs over an inning of work. He whiffed three and walked two during a 33-pitch outing. In June, the Sox drafted Rodon with the third overall pick in the MLB Draft, the club's highest selection since 1977 (Harold Baines, 1st).

DON'T FORGET ABOUT DANISH In his first full professional season, right-hander Tyler Danish has combined for a 7-2 record and a 2.16 earned run average between Low-A Kannapolis (seven starts) and Winston-Salem (12 starts). His ERA is ninth among qualifiers in full-season Minor League Baseball. Danish has blasted into this prestigious group thanks to his outstanding July, during which he posted a 1.10 ERA in six starts (4 ER in 32.2 IP).

SWEEPING SUCCESS? The Dash are a win away from their third sweep of the season and their second at BB&T Ballpark. The first home brooming took place in a rain-shortened set against Wilmington in mid-June. Winston-Salem has not swept Lynchburg since June 26-28, 2011, while the club has logged at least one sweep against every other Carolina League club since May of last season. This series marks the first of three between the Dash and Hillcats over the first half of August.

DASH DOTS Winston-Salem has won six of seven, and the squad boasts an earned run average of 1.29 (eight earned runs in 56 innings) in the six wins during this span...The Dash have rattled off back-to-back wins when getting outhit after going 7-43 to begin the season when posting fewer hits than their opposition...After an off day Monday, the Dash head on a six-game road trip to Potomac and Lynchburg.
