
Wings Win 2-1, Fans Support Local Organization

Saturday night, the Aberdeen Wings hosted the Minnesota Wilderness in the final game of the Aberdeen Area Humane Society fundraiser weekend. The Wings came away with a 2-1 victory and the outstanding community of Wings fans showed great support for the fundraiser.
On the power play, the Wings got off to an early lead at the 14:47 mark with a goal from #16 Kyle Haak (F-Okemos, MI) with assists from #3 Daniel Billett (D-Highlands Ranch, CO) and #10 Tanner Okeson (D-Roseau, MN). In the second period, the Wilderness would answer back with a goal from Jack Forbort making it 1-1. Again on the power play, late in the 2nd period, the Wings would strike again with a nice goal from #8 Drew Doyon (F-Indianapolis, IN) with assists from #10 Tanner Okeson and #14 Collin Hughes (F-Lino Lakes, MN).
The third period would be shutout for both sides resulting in a 2-1 victory for the Wings in front a great crowd at the Odde Ice Center.
