Dallas Wings News Release

The Dallas Wings square off against the New York Liberty Wednesday, July 29 in the second game of the young 2020 WNBA season. The matchup will see college teammates Satou Sabally and Sabrina Ionescu go head-to-head on CBS Sports Network for a 7 p.m. CT tip. The pair of Oregon Ducks made history on draft night when they became just the third set of teammates to go No. 1 and No. 2 in the history of the WNBA Draft.

A young Dallas Wings squad, led by Allisha Gray and Arike Ogunbowale, fought hard in its opening day game. Gray and Ogunbowale were atop the Wings' score line with 19 points apiece and were followed closely by an 18-point, 10 rebound performance by Isabelle Harrison. It was the ninth double-double of Harrison's career and the first time a Wings player notched a double-double on opening night since the team moved to Dallas.

Rookies Tyahsa Harris and Satou Sabally chipped in double-digit scoring figures as well. Harris collected 13 points to go along with four assists and Sabally had 11 points, five rebounds and five assists. It was just the sixth time in WNBA history that multiple rookies reached double-figure scoring outputs in a season opener.
