Wings Sign Bemidji HS Forward Jake Leitner

The Aberdeen Wings, proud members of the North American Hockey League are pleased to announce the tender contract signing of Bemidji High School forward Jake Leitner.

"Jake is a competitor that plays the game with an edge," said Aberdeen Wings Director of Scouting Mike Grattan. "He is very good low and has offensive sense and timing."

Leitner is currently the leading scorer for the Bemidji HS Lumberjacks (13-1-1). In 15 games played, he has scored 12 goals and 15 assists. Last season he was the 2nd leading scorer with 12 goals and 8 assists.

"I believe it is a good fit for me on and off the ice," said Leitner. He will join the Aberdeen Wings during the off-season in 2015 for camp workouts and training.
