Corpus Christi IceRays News Release
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS - The Corpus Christi IceRays return to the American Bank Center this Friday and Saturday at 7:05 p.m. as they host the Odessa Jackalopes for their only weekend at home in the month of January.
One lucky fan and nine friends will be enjoying the Ultimate IceRays VIP Experience on Friday night thanks to The Beach 96.5 FM. This group of individuals will enjoy a rink side suite, watching pre-game warm-ups from the IceRays bench, dropping the ceremonial puck, gaining the amenities of our home suites, and skating post-game free of charge. This is the first of two VIP Experiences being given away this season. Also, one dollar sodas are back as part of Frosty Fridays, joining one dollar beers on the menu all night long.
The IceRays are devoting Saturday's game to the oil industry with events throughout the day. From 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., the IceRays in partnership with Workforce Solutions are hosting their first Oil Industry Job Fair at the American Bank Center Arena. Potential job seekers and those looking to network with other oil industry professionals have the opportunity to meet with various companies related to the industry on the second and third level of the arena.
The event will lead up to the IceRays Oil Industry Night presented by Baker Hughes, Corpus Christi Freightliner, Laguna Wealth Services, and AutoNation Ford at 7:05 p.m. against the Jackalopes. The team will be adorning special oil themed jerseys for the game, and fans have the chance to purchase one of these jerseys through the Eddie Jackson, New York Life Post-Game Auction. Saturday's game is also a Corpus Christi Caller-Times Family 4-Pack Night, where fans can purchase four tickets, four hot dogs, and four sodas for just $46.
This weekend is the final home meetings between the IceRays and Jackalopes this season. Thus far, the IceRays have won all four games taking place at the American Bank Center. After this weekend, the two teams finish their 12-game season series from the Ector County Coliseum in Odessa. Both teams look to earn their first wins of 2015 with the IceRays dropping two games in Rio Grande Valley and the Jackalopes dropping their last two on the road against Lone Star. Coverage begins at 6:50 p.m. on SportsJuice.com, FASTHockey.com, and 87.7 FM in-arena.
