
Wings Fall in Friday Shootout

Aberdeen 4 @ Austin 5 (SO) - Ben Almquist had a goal in regulation and scored the only goal of the shootout, as the Bruins won their home opener against the Wings, 5-4. After a scoreless 1st period, the teams traded goals throughout the 2nd and 3rd periods with Hugh Larkin, Carson Riddle, Conner Tilmon, and Almquist, while the Wings got goals from Connor Beatty, Philip Tornqvist, Jack Powell, and Riley Murphy. Tyler Shea picked up the win, which included 18 saves and stopping all three Aberdeen shooters in the shootout, while Jake Sibell picked up the loss, making 16 saves.
