
Wings Fall Again 3-1

After a tough 3-2 loss on Friday night, the Wings were again on the road taking on the Austin Bruins. The Wings however would suffer another loss 3-1.
In the first period, Austin would get on top with a goal from Jacob Kullberg at the 3:47 mark. Later in the period, Austin would go up 2-0 after a goal from Ian Scheid. Austin outshot the Wings 19-9 in the first period.
The second would see the lead cut to one after a goal from #13 Michael Soucier (F-Caledon, Ontario) with assists to #16 Kyle Haak (F-Okemos, MI) and #11 Victor Ostling (F-Stockholm, Sweden). The Bruins however would gather another goal in the second period to make it 3-1. Again the Wings were outshot 19-5. The third period would have no goals, but Aberdeen would get 6 quality shots on goal.
The 3-1 loss comes after the Wings fell 3-2 the night before. For the weekend, the Wings were 0-8 on the power play which had been hot of late. The Austin Bruins outshot the Wings 75-41 on the weekend. Saturday night's goaltender for the Wings was newly signed free agent #30 Luke Kania (G-Chicago, IL). Kania faced 45 shots on goal, stopping 42 in his NAHL debut.
