Dallas Wings News Release
The Dallas Wings (7-12) take on the first place Seattle Storm (16-3) Wednesday night at 9 p.m. CT on the CBS Sports Network. With just three games remaining in the regular season, the Dallas Wings are still in contention for the final playoff spot.
Arike Ogunbowale, who rained in a career high 39 points in the Wings' last game, continues to lead the league in scoring, 22.2 points per game to be exact, and is a threat anytime the ball is in her hand. Ogunbowale is the 21st player to score 39 or more in league history and the sixth youngest player to do it. Satou Sabally' 19 points also helped Dallas muscle past Washington. The Rookie of the Year contender has 10 double figure scoring games this year and is just one of fives rookies ever to average 13.1 points, 7.8 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game in the history of the WNBA.
Allisha Gray and Marina Mabrey have also been serious contributors for the Wings since both moved into the starting lineup. Gray is averaging 14.8 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.5 assists since becoming a starter on 8/8 and Most Improved Player candidate Marina Mabrey is averaging 13.1 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.9 assists since moving into the starting five on 8/16. The pair has also surpassed double-digit scoring figures in every game except for one since becoming starters.
