July 29, 2015 - Frontier League (FL)
Rockford Aviators News Release
LOVES PARK - The Rockford Aviators dropped their second contest of the series to the Windy City ThunderBolts Wednesday night, falling by a final of 11-2. It was the first time the Aviators, who fell to Windy City 10-2 on Tuesday, have given up 10 or more in back-to-back games this season.
Payton Baskette took the hill for the Aviators. He was knocked out in the 4th and ended up surrendering 10 hits and 8 runs. His reliever Roberto Padilla gave up 2 more after him as the ThunderBolts cruised out to their second 10-0 lead of the series.
Devon Rodriguez and Dusty Robinson picked up late RBI for the Aviators, and Michael Hur and Brian Bistagne each reached base 3 times in the loss. The 19 hits the ThunderBolts accumulated were the most in a game against the Aviators this year.
The two teams close out the series with another 6:35 pm contest at Aviators Stadium. Tony Rizzotti goes to the hill for the home squad.
Tickets for the contest can be purchased by calling 815-885-BALL or by emailing tickets@rockfordaviators.com.
