Windsor Spitfires News Release
(Windsor) By virtue of the Saginaw Spirit's 4-1 victory over the Plymouth Whalers today in Saginaw, the Windsor Spitfires, the #1 seed and regular season champions of the OHL's Western Conference, will take on the Western Conference's #8 ranked Erie Otters in round one of the 2010 OHL Playoffs. Saginaw needed to earn one point in today's game to move out of the #8 seed and past Erie in the standings, and the Spirit's victory catapulted them to the Western Conference's #6 seed. A Saginaw loss would have resulted in the Spirit facing the Spitfires in the first round.
