Windsor Completes Three Game Sweep

(MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO) For the third time in a week, the Windsor Express dismantled the Mississauga Power, this time 105-87 at the Hershey Centre on Wednesday night.

Windsor (17-7) busted out of the gate, outscoring the Power (7-19) 24-17 after the first quarter and taking a 51-39 lead into the half.

The game was a perfect example of how these two teams have been trending recently. Windsor has won 6 of their last 7 contests, while the Power fell for the 10th straight time,

It was a historic night for Chris Commons, who had 19 points. He eclipsed the 1,000 point mark as a member of the Windsor Express - the first player to do so in franchise history.

Dominique Buckley set off on his best performance during his brief time in Windsor, dropping 19 points also, thanks to 5-for-8 shooting from behind the three point line.

Nick Okorie had a game high 25 points for Mississauga in the loss.

The Express have a unique challenge ahead of them tomorrow, as they will fly to Moncton, New Brunswick and play that night against the red-hot Miracles - winners of six straight.

Game time of the Thursday night contest is 7:00pm Atlantic, 6:00pm Eastern.

Windsor returns home for a Saturday night affair with the Ottawa Skyhawks at 7:00pm on January 11th.
