Windsor and Belleville Visit Bayshore
February 3, 2012 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Owen Sound Attack News Release
The Owen Sound Attack will look to snap a five game losing streak this weekend when they host the Windsor Spitfires and Belleville Bulls. Friday evening's game against the Spitfires has huge Western Conference playoff implications attached to it as 8th place Spitfires trail the 5th place Attack by only three points. The Spitfires, Saginaw Spirit and Guelph Storm are all deadlocked at 47 points, however; Guelph does have three games in hand. Tonight will mark the return of Kyle Hope (2 GM Susp.) and Daniel Catenacci (1 GM Susp.) to the Attack lineup.
Friday evening, Bruce Telecom will be presenting all of the action from the Bayshore while Saturday evening, the Canadian Cancer Society will be on hand to help get things rolling for the Attack's 1st ever Pink in the Rink event which is set to go on February 11th.

Bruce Telecom Presents the Attack vs. Windsor - The Spitifres are a young group which are lead up front by 17 year old Kerby Rychel, the son if Windsor Spitfires General Manager, Warren Rychel and 18 year old Alexander Khokhlachev. Although nothing has been officially announced, it is anticipated that the Spitfires will make a bid to host the 2014 MasterCard Memorial Cup. Windsor has a fine crop of 16 and 17 year old forwards including the above mentioned Rychel, Adam Bateman, Nick Ebert, Chris Marchese and Brady Vail. The goaltending duties for the Spits have been shared by overager John Cullen and import Jaroslav Pavelka.
Look Out For - After scoring 7 goals in his rookie season split between Mississauga and Barrie, Kerby Rychel has rocketed up the draft charts and actually has a shot at 40 goals, coming into this evening's game with 28. The 6'1, 200lb Tecumseh native has turned into a young leader on this Spitfires team and seems to be truly at home in Windsor.
Last 10 Games - Attack 4-4-0-2 (5th in Western Conf.) Spitfires 4-5-0-1 (8th in Western Conf.)

Attack vs. Belleville - The Belleville Bulls will make their only regular season visit to the Bayshore this Saturday night where the Attack will close out their four game home stand. The Attack's visit to Belleville was a bitter one earlier this season as they dropped a 2-1 decision to the Bulls courtesy of an Adam Payerl goal with 18 seconds remaining in regulation. At one point this season, the Bulls stampeded to the top of the Eastern Conference standings, however; an injury to star goaltender Malcolm Subban has thrown a wrench into the tight Eastern Conference standings and the Bulls find themselves two points back of the Oshawa Geneals for the final playoff spot.
Look Out For - Brendan Gaunce will be a name that people remember for a long time. Belleville's top pick in the 2010 OHL Priority Selection has proven to be a great choice as the sophomore sensation leads the Bulls with 22 goals and 23 assists and a +1 rating.
Last 10 Games - Bulls 2-8 (9th in Eastern Conf. ) * Belleville plays in Kitchener on Friday evening.
Tickets for both games are available and can be purchased by visiting the Attack Box Office in the front lobby of the Harry Lumlbey Bayshore Community Centre. Tickets are also available online at www.attackhockey.com or by phone at (519) 371-7452.
Game time Friday and Saturday is 7:30pm.
