Queener a King in OT Win

(OWEN SOUND) Zack MacQueen's second goal of the game was the OT winner, as the Spits escaped Owen Sound with a thrilling, 6-5 win on Friday night.

Chris Marchese had a goal and two assists, and Nick Ebert chipped in with three helpers, as Windsor (22-23-3-2) moved within two points of the Attack for fifth place in the Western Conference.

The Spits fell behind 3-0 before the game was 10 minutes old. But Michael Clarke (12) and Chris Marchese (14) scored in an 85-second spurt late in the first period, cutting the lead to 3-2.

The teams traded a pair of goals in the middle 20, with Nick Czinder (13) and MacQueen (11) scoring for the Spits.

The Attack appeared to have made it a 6-4 game in the third period. But it was ruled Mike Halmo knocked a puck in with a high stick.That set the stage for Windsor to complete the comeback.Just 32 seconds later, Kerby Rychel's 29th of the season evened things at 5-5 at the 7:31 mark.

MacQueen's second of the night came 44 seconds into overtime, during Windsor's third power play of the game.

John Cullen was outstanding in goal after coming in cold, replacing Jaroslav Pavelka at 9:12 of the first period. Cullen made 35 saves for the win.
