BRIDGEVIEW, Ill. - The Chicago Fire Soccer Club will face MLS expansion side FC Cincinnati at SeatGeek Stadium on Saturday, July 13. Scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. CT, the match -- presented by CIBC -- will be broadcast live on ESPN+ and transmitted locally in Spanish on Univision Radio WRTO AM 1200. Saturday's match will also feature a Polish Heritage night.
The Fire enter Saturday's match looking to extend their eight-game unbeaten streak at home (5-0-3). The Men in Red's previous match at home featured an impressive 5-1 win over defending MLS Champions, Atlanta United FC. Fire forward CJ Sapong recorded his first brace with the Club, while midfielder Nicolás Gaitán matched a Club record for the most assists in an individual match (three). Additionally, the Fire set a Club record for the most goals scored in one half of a match (five).
Saturday's game will mark the first meeting between the Fire and FC Cincinnati in MLS play. FCC (4-13-2, 14 points) currently sits in 12th place in the Eastern conference standings. Most recently, FCC snapped a seven-game losing streak by defeating the Houston Dynamo 3-2 at Nippert Stadium in Cincinnati on July 6.
