Wichita, KS - The Arkansas Travelers (7-7, 43-40) had one of the best offensive games of the season but were outdone by the Wichita Wind Surge (7-7, 42-40) by a 16-12 final count on Wednesday afternoon. The Wind Surge scored the first 14 runs of the game and Arkansas never got closer than four the rest of the way. Travs starter Stephen Kolek recorded just eight outs in taking the loss. Denny Bentley was the winner out of the Wichita bullpen working three solid innings.
Moments That Mattered
* The Travs scored nine runs on nine hits in the fifth inning to cut more than half off the Wichita lead. Kaden Polcovich had two doubles in the inning and Patrick Frick had two hits. Cade Marlowe hit a two-run home run.
* With the margin at four, Wichita put two more runs on the board in the bottom of the eighth. Their first runs since the fourth inning.
