(Edmonton) A win and the Eskimos lock up first place in the CFL West; somewhere they haven't been since 2003 and would host their first playoff game since 2004.

This is the fourth game of the season series between the Leos and Esks. BC has won twice, the most recent being a fight-filled 33-24 victory on September 30th on opening night of the renovated BC Place Stadium.

In last week's win over the Argos, Edmonton displayed a more balanced offence. Ricky Ray threw for 300+ yds to earn the weekly top offensive player award, while RB Jerome Messam ran for 115 yds on 19 carries in his return home, good for his fifth Canadian player of the week honour of the season. Messam goes into the game just 36 yds shy of the 1000+ milestone, the first Canuck to do since Sean Millington in 2001.

Despite a 4th quarter collapse last week, Edmonton's defence has been stellar down the stretch, surrendering a league low 352 points thus far. They'll have to defend against BC's Travis Lulay, the CFL's second leading passer, and without the help of Rookie of the Year candidate J.C. Sherritt who suffered an ankle injury in the win over Toronto.

Ex-Rider Hugh Charles will make his Eskimo debut on special teams handling kick returns.

Edmonton closes out the regular season Friday, November 4th at home against Saskatchewan.
