
Wilson Too Much; Tourists Settle for Series Split

ASHEVILLE-- Rome Braves' starting pitcher, Bryse Wilson, beat the Asheville Tourists for the third time this year on Sunday afternoon. Wilson received some early run support and his Braves won the series finale over the Tourists 7-2 to earn a split.
Antonio Santos, Asheville's starting pitcher, was tagged for five runs; all in the second inning. Santos did not come back out for the third. Over the final seven innings the two teams traded a pair of solo Home Runs.
Kevin Josephina and Lucas Herbert went deep for the visitors while Taylor Snyder and Jacob Bosiokovic both made it back-to-back games with a Home Run for Asheville.
Wilson lasted six innings for the Braves and surrendered only one run. In his three starts against Asheville, Wilson is 3-0 and has not allowed more than one run in any of his starts.
Asheville did a decent job of putting runners aboard but finished 0-for-11 with runners in scoring position. The Tourists also committed three errors for the second straight game.
Next up is a home date with the Greenville Drive. Monday's first pitch is scheduled for 7:05pm.
