Wilson Assigned from AHL, Fish Make Roster Moves

DENVER - The Denver Cutthroats announced today that a series of roster moves have been made as the team returns to the Midwest for the final leg of their January road trip. Forward Ben Wilson has been assigned from the American Hockey League's Lake Erie Monsters, plus Gabe Gauthier and Brett Lutes have been activated from the IR.

To create roster space the Cutthroats have waived forwards Andrew Coles, Jeff Neitenbach, and defenseman Derek Scanlon. Team captain Aaron MacKenzie has also been placed on the 14-day IR.

Wilson has tallied three goals and five assists in 31 games for the Cutthroats this season.

Gauthier returns to the lineup after tallying seven goals and six assists in 13 games this season for the Fish. Lutes returns after scoring 16 points (four goals, 12 assists) in 18 games this year.

The Cutthroats begin the 15-day, seven-game leg of their January road trip on Friday when they visit the Bloomington Blaze at 6:05 PM MST.
