Wilmington Blue Rocks 2020 Season Cancellation FAQs
On Tuesday, June 30, Minor League Baseball (MiLB) announced that the 2020 season would be canceled as a result of Major League Baseball (MLB) declaring that they would not be providing players to MiLB affiliates for the 2020 season. As such, all Minor League Baseball teams - including the Wilmington Blue Rocks - will not host games in 2020.
While disappointed, the Blue Rocks have no choice but to follow the direction set forth by MLB and MiLB. The team remains committed to continuing to work with the City of Wilmington, New Castle County, and State of Delaware authorities to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all citizens during the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic. In compliance with protocols determined by state and local health authorities, the Blue Rocks look forward to developing opportunities to bring joy and excitement to Frawley Stadium at the appropriate time later this summer. Moreover, we look forward to delivering our unique version of affordable, fun, family-friendly entertainment in 2021 and beyond.
The Wilmington Blue Rocks have devised the following "2020 Season Cancellation FAQs" to answer many of the questions fans may have:
The Blue Rocks respectfully ask that fans be patient during this unprecedented situation as the team works through all effects of a full season cancellation. Following the health guidance issued by the State of Delaware, the Blue Rocks Executive Offices remain closed to the public at this time and are operating at both reduced capacities and hours.

While the cancellation of the 2020 season is greatly disappointing, please continue to monitor BlueRocks.com and the team's social media pages for upcoming safe & fun events at Frawley Stadium later this summer & fall.

I purchased tickets for a single game in the 2020 season. What should I do with my tickets?
With all 2020 games officially canceled, all single game ticket holders with tickets to a game during the 2020 season will have the ability to exchange their tickets for another home game during the 2021 or 2022 seasons. While the Blue Rocks cannot guarantee that the exchanged tickets will be in the same exact seat, every effort will be made to secure seats in a comparable seating section.
