Willows Named to ECHL All-Rookie Team

ESTERO, FL - The ECHL announced on Wednesday that Florida Everblades forward Matt Willows has been named to the 2015-16 ECHL All-Rookie Team.
Willows, 24, leads all rookies with 39 assists and 62 points while ranking fourth among first-year players with 23 goals. He has 10 power-play assists, which is tied for third among rookies, and his 15 power-play points are fourth. Willows has also recorded 16 multi-point games this season.
The 5-9-185-pound forward collected 35 points (19g,16a) in 40 games played last season during his senior campaign at the University of New Hampshire. In addition, he logged five points (3g, 2a) in 11 appearances with the Worcester Sharks (AHL) last spring. The Congers, New York native totaled a balanced 90 points (45g, 45a) during this four-year collegiate career at New Hampshire.
