
Williamsport snares 7-2 victory over Expos

HIGHLIGHTS- Williamsport scored three runs in the third and four in the sixth to snare a 7-2 victory over the Vermont Expos Monday night at Bowman Field. The win gave the Cutters a series sweep of Vermont and extented their winning streak to six-in-a-row. The Cutters last six-game streak was August 24-29, 2003. Williamsport SS Brent Lillibridge hit a two-run double to left center field in the bottom of the 6th inning that put the game away for the Cutters. 2B Cameron Blair went 1 for 4 as he extended his hitting streak to seven games when he doubled to left field for the Crosscutters in the bottom of the 3rd inning. Williamsport now finds themselves in 2nd place in the McNamara division. The Cutters begin a 3 game series against the Tri-City Valley Cats Tuesday night at Bowman Field.
