San Angelo Colts News Release

San Angelo, TX - In response to the signing of closer Michael Hacker to the Boston Red Sox organization on Tuesday, the Colts signed former 12-game winner Logan Williamson to the ballclub on Thursday.

Williamson, a Great Lakes, IL native, went 12-4 with a 4.50 ERA as a starter for the Colts in 2008 while tossing three complete-games. A 27th round selection of the Chicago White Sox in 2004, Williamson has a career record of 34-31 with a 4.68 ERA.

After spending two seasons in the White Sox organization, Williamson pitched for Pensacola of the American Association in 2007 before making his way to San Angelo in '08. He split time in the American Association last season with Grand Prairie and Shreveport-Bossier. He has not pitched this season.

The team kicks off a four-game home-stand tonight against the Coastal Bend Thunder at 7:05. Tonight will also be Thirsty Thursday presented by Miller Lite and Lonestar 92.9 FM as fans can purchase draft beer for $1 throughout the evening. The broadcast of the game begins at 6:50 on 1260 KKSA with the Kemps Pregame Show.
