Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers News Release
Wilkes-Barre, PA - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers are pleased to announce the arenafootball2 league office has released the team's complete 2004 schedule.
"This is a great schedule for us - plain and simple," said Pioneers President Dave Berryman. "We've moved all home games to Saturdays at 7:00pm for the convenience of our fans. This formula has worked well for me in the past, and I believe it will be successful here."
The Pioneers season will kick off at home Saturday, April 10th at the Wachovia Arena against the Columbus (GA) Wardogs. Columbus is one of five teams that will face Wilkes-Barre/Scranton for the first time in 2004. Other new teams on the schedule are the Green Bay Blizzard, the Louisville Fire, the Peoria Pirates, and the Cape Fear Wildcats. The following is the complete 2004 home and away schedule:
