Stealth releases 2004 schedule

Wichita, Kan. - The Wichita Stealth today released their 2004 arenafootball2 (af2) schedule. This will mark the fourth season for the Stealth and the fifth of the af2. The Stealth are in the National Conference-Southwest Division for the upcoming season with the Tulsa Talons, Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz, Laredo Law, and the Rio Grande Valley Dorados. The Stealth will play each of their divisional foes three times during the sixteen game regular season schedule and will round out their schedule with a home and home series with the Peoria Pirates, an away game versus the Quad City Steamwheelers, and a home match-up with the Green Bay Blizzard.
"We are extremely pleased with the schedule," said Stealth head coach Sean Ponder. "It will be nice for the fans to get to see the first two games at home and it is nice to be in a division with some geographic rivals such as Oklahoma City and Tulsa."
The Stealth will begin their 2004 campaign on Saturday, April 3rd versus the Peoria Pirates at 7:00 p.m. at the Kansas Coliseum. The Pirates won the af2 championship in 2002, but stumbled to a 5-11 record last season. The Stealth are 2-1 in home openers in franchise history, with their only loss coming at the hands of the Peoria Pirates to open the 2002 season by a score of 30-21.
Stealth fans will get to see the expansion Laredo Law and Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz twice this season, and the Rio Grande Valley Dorados once at the Kansas Coliseum. Other visitors to the coliseum will be the Tulsa Talons and the Green Bay Blizzard, as well as the aforementioned Peoria Pirates.
All Stealth home games will begin at 7:00 p.m. and are all played at the Kansas Coliseum (1229 E. 85th Street North, Valley Center, KS 67147). Season tickets are available now by calling the Stealth ticket office at 316.755.3307. Fans, may also view ticket pricing and seating map by visiting www.wichitastealth.com. Single game tickets will go on sale in early March.
