BEAUMONT, TX- The first place Wildcatters (12-2-3) increased their South Division lead going 3-0-1 across a four-game divisional road trip last week.
The 'Catters began the week with a 4-3 shootout loss at Augusta, overcoming a two-goal third period deficit to salvage a point. Max Taylor would register his first professional goal to tie the game in the third period. A.J. Thelen and Danick Bouchard would also score for the 'Catters, who dropped the shootout 2-1.
The Wildcatters would stuff Gwinnett 3-1 on Thanksgiving night to widen their lead over the second place Gladiators. Peter Aubry would make 33 saves in the effort and the 'Catters would get goals from Matt Kassian, Bouchard, and John McNabb.
Continuing the trip in Charlotte Friday, the 'Catters would explode for seven goals in a 7-3 victory over the Checkers. Jordie Preston and Scott Champagne scored their first professional goals, John Adams scored his first of the season, and Danny Welch would collect his second game winning goal of the year in the win. Tim Cook, Taylor, and Bouchard would also score for Texas as Aubry would stop 18 shots to collect his second win in as many nights.
The Wildcatters would conclude the tour in Charleston, SC with a 2-1 victory over the South Carolina Stingrays in a hard-fought game. Brandon Benedict and Ross Carlson would collect goals for the 'Catters as Aubry would stop 15 shots in the third period and 28 on evening to improve his record to 7-2-0 with a goals against average of 2.77 and a save percentage of .903.

It will be a South Division showdown as the 'Catters bring the second place Gwinnett Gladiators (11-3-0-1) to town for a three game series at Ford Arena this weekend!
The 'Catters won 3-1 at Gwinnett on Nov. 22 and 5-4 in a shootout at Gwinnett on Nov. 10, and, including three victories in the division semifinals of the Kelly Cup Playoffs, Texas has won the last five meetings between the two. The Wildcatters, who are 7-7-1 all-time in the regular season against Gwinnett, have won their last eight home games against the Gladiators, 6-0-0 in the regular season and 2-0-0 in the Kelly Cup Playoffs. The last Gwinnett win at Texas was 4-2 on Dec. 5, 2004.
