South Georgia Wildcats News Release
ALBANY, GA- The South Georgia Wildcats announced today that the af2 league office has assigned DB Lawrence Wade (Temple), LB Johnnie Butler (Grambling), FB/LB Archil Gulua (Russia), DL Antonio Mayfield (Virginia), OL/DL Dalonte Smith (Hardin Simons), and WR George Murray (Cincinnati) to the Wildcats roster.
Wade played in six games last year for the Ft. Wayne Fusion recording 17.5 tackles and 1 forced fumble.
"Lawrence is an experienced and physical corner that I believe will help us in the red zone," said Head Coach Derek Stingley.
Butler heads the group of five rookies that look to make an immediate impact with the Wildcats. The rookie out of Grambling caught everyone's eye during training camp last year.
"With the experience of camp last year and his athletic ability, Johnnie is somebody that we think can really help this team at the linebacker position," said Head Coach Derek Stingley.
Wildcats season tickets are a great idea for the Holidays and are available now by contacting the Wildcats office at 229-435-0205 or the Box Office at 229-435-2TIX.
