Blizzard to Host Open Tryout in Green Bay

The Green Bay Blizzard would like to announce an open tryout on Saturday, January 26th in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The tryout is open to any athlete interested in playing for the Green Bay Blizzard of the af2. Participants will be trying out for the 2008 Green Bay Blizzard, looking to make it back to the ArenaCup. The Green Bay Blizzard had seven players from its 2007 playoff team sign with an AFL/CFL team for the 2008 season.
Green Bay Blizzard Tryout Information:
Date - Saturday, January 26, 2008
Registration - 12:00pm - 1:00 pm (Quarterbacks, Wide Receivers & Defensive Backs)
2:00pm - 3:00pm (Offensive/Defensive Line, Fullbacks, Linebackers & Kickers)
Tryout starts as soon as registration is complete (approximately 1:00 pm) and will run until 5:00 pm.
Tryout is open to all athletes interested in playing for the Green Bay Blizzard in 2008.

Pre-Register - $55 (Call 920-405-1264 to pre-register) Credit cards only
Day of Tryout - $65 Cash or money order only
*Final day to pre-register is on Friday, January 25, 2008 at 5:00pm CST.
Participants will be required to sign a waiver prior to taking part in any activities.
Events will Include:
- Measure Height/Weight
- 40 yard dash
- 5/10/5 Pro Shuttle
- Vertical Leap/Broad Jump
- Position Drills
The tryout will be held indoors on the Blizzard turf field. Participants will need to wear shorts, t-shirts and turf shoes (no cleats or track spikes).
