Moncton, NB - The Moncton Wildcats will participate in an action packed week-end in the Cage from January 14th to January 16th. The Cats will take on division rivials the Halifax Mooseheads on Friday, January 14th at 7pm. On Saturday, January 15 the Wildcats will first participate in the Mikes Restaurant Practice with the Cats at 11:00am and then will showcase their talents through the Kent Skills Showcase starting at 1pm. The week-end will conclude with a 4pm match up against the Rimouski Oceanic with Sidney Crosby!
The Mikes Practice with the Cats is a promotion that has been running through the local area Mikes Restaurants. Eighteen Atom to Peewee players have been selected to meet and practice with their Wildcat hockey heros! The practice will take place at 11:00am at the Moncton Coliseum. The winners will also receive a pizza party compliments of Mikes Restuarants and will also receive tickets to the Kent Skills Showcase.
This Saturday at 1pm the Kent Skills Showcase will take place at the Moncton Coliseum. Tickets will be available at the door for fans at a cost of $5 for adults and $2 for children and seniors. Wildcat Season Ticket Holders will receive free entry along with one guest. Kent Home Improvement at Trinity Drive and on Champlain Street will have a limited number of free tickets for their customers. The showcase will allow fans to see their favourite Wildcat players going head-to-head in such competitions as the Fastest Skater and Break-a-ways!
The two games this week-end plan to be very exciting with the Friday night game scheduled against divisional rivals the Halifax Mooseheads. Wildcats newest defenceman Nathan Welton should be in the line-up for his first match on his new home ice. Then on Sunday, Sidney Crosby leads the Rimouski Oceanic into town. This well anticipated match up has been the talk of the town. There are still a limited number of tickets available through the Coliseum Box Office or by calling 506-857-4100.
