
Wildcats Fight Back But Fall in OT

The Moncton Wildcats fought back from a 4-2 deficit against the Islanders in Charlottetown on Saturday night, only to lose in overtime 5-4.
Keiran Gallant pounced on a loose puck and beat Jacob Steinman on a breakaway after only 20 seconds of extra time.
Max Barbashev had forced the extra session with his 24th of the season at 19.23 of the third. Etienne Morin had a 4-point evening for the Cats - potting his 17th goal and three assists. Charles Beaudoin scored his 13th and added two assists while Vincent Labelle contributed with three helpers. The other Moncton goal to Yoan Loshing, his 23rd.
The Cats return to .500 hockey at 24-24-0-2 after fifty games.

It's an important home ice week for the Wildcats coming up - Thursday night return date with the Islanders at 7 pm, followed by the Sherbrooke Phoenix Saturday at 7 pm and the Halifax Mooseheads Sunday at 4 pm at Avenir Centre.
