Washington, PA â The Washington Wild Things, presented by Washington Federal Savings Bank, lost to the Kalamazoo Kings Friday in the third of their series. The loss takes Washington to 25-18 for the season.
Ben Ally, who pitched 6 2/3 innings, allowed five runs, six hits, four walks, and struck out six. His record falls to 3-4 for the 2003 season.
Clayton Ewen pitched 1 ½ half innings in relief.
Designated Hitter Jay Coakley was three for three with one run scored and one RBI.
The Wild Things managed only four runs on their 12 hits, leaving ten men on base.
The Wild Things return to Falconi Field Saturday for a three-game homestand against the Frontier League Champion Richmond Roosters. First p itch for the game is 3:35 p.m. The game will be broadcast on WJPA 95.3 FM and ESNP 1250 A.M., and Fox Sports Net Pittsburgh will televise the game.
Saturday is Buffett Man Night. The team will don "island" jerseys for the event, and Buffett Man, Tom Watt will perform in the Hi Tops Picnic Pavilion after the game. First Pitch is 3:35 p.m.
