Kings win 5-4 before 4,722 fans on a cool Friday night at Homer Stryker Field.

Tonights pitching matchup featured Dan D'Amato for the Kings vs. Ben Ally for the Washington Wild Things. The Wild Things struck first blood in the third with an unearned run off of D'Amato. The Kings offense struck next in the fifth when Kent RBI tripled and Wilson singled. In the top half of the sixth inning Washington tacked on 3 more runs off 5 hits and 1 error. In the bottom half of the sixth Chris Carter scored the game-tying run when Washington committed a costly throwing error. The error by Washington gave the momentum back to the Kings as they tacked on two more runs in the seventh. Olson, Nawrocki, and Wiltshire combined for nearly flawless relief pitching in the last three and two thirds innings. The Kings took the game and the best of three series over Washington at Homer Stryker Field.

The Kings will begin another three game series against the Florence Freedom at Homer Stryker Field tomorrow night. Join the Kings for a post-game concert after the game featuring "Yankee Station" performing classic rock music. The game begins at 6:35 p.m.
