Washington, PA â The Washington Wild Things, presented by Washington Federal Savings Bank, lost to the Evansville Otters 6 â 1 Tuesday in Evansville.
The Wild Things (9-9) have lost four of their six games against the Evansville Otters this season.
The Otters scored five of their runs in the first three innings of the game. Ryan Ewin pitched 3 innings giving up five hits. Matt Powell pitched two innings allowing one hit, and Kyle Augsburger finished the game pitching three innings and giving up two hits and one run.
The lone Wild Things' run came from catcher, Jay Coakley who hit the solo home run in the fourth inning of the afternoon game.
The Wild Things return to Falconi Field in Washington Wednesday when they meet the Richmond Roosters. Eric Holt will start for the Wild Things. Game time is 7:05 and tickets are still available.
