
Wild Things Beat Chillicothe 9-2

Washington Wild Things News Release
The Washington Wild Things (6-3), presented by Washington Federal Savings Bank, beat the Chillicothe Paints (4-4) by a score of 9-2 Friday at VA Memorial Stadium. The victory puts Washington back in first place of the Eastern Division of the Frontier League.
The Wild Things took an early lead, scoring one run in the first when Ryan McGraw hit a solo home run. Then in the third the Wild Things scored three more runs.
However the Paints struck back with one run in the seventh and one in the eighth.
In the ninth inning the Wild Things exploded with five runs, sending all nine batters to the plate.
Five Wild Things' pitchers took to the mound in the contest. RHP Brian Burks, who got his second win, started the game and lasted six scoreless innings, allowing three hits, two walks and striking out four. Three other pitchers combined for four hits, two earned runs, one walk and three strike outs. Troy Fry closed giving up one hit.
Josh Stout (0-2) took the loss for the Paints.
The Wild Things travel to Evansville, IN for another three game series against the Evansville Otters. RHP Chris Pillsbury (0-1) of the Otters will take on RHP Brendon Davis (0-1) for the Wild Things.
The game will be broadcast on WJPA 95.3 FM. First pitch is scheduled for 8:05.
The Wild Things return home to Falconi Field on June 8 when they'll host the Florence Freedom at 7:05 p.m.
