Washington Wild Things News Release
Washington, PA -- The Tommy Maddox Celebrity Softball Game, which was rained out June 3rd, has been rescheduled for Saturday, June 28th at Falconi Field.
The charity event funds the Tommy Maddox Foundation, which the Steeler Quarterback established to benefit disadvantaged children.
The event will include autograph sessions and a softball game among Tommy Maddox and his friends from the sports industry and the media.
In Wild Things' news, The Wild Things have signed two players and released two. Keith Strickland, a 6'5" left handed pitcher from Port St. Lucie, FL signed with the Wild Things Monday. Strickland played at the University of Southern Florida. Tim McCabe, a 6'3" infielder played for West Virginia University, where he will complete his degree in the fall. He is a Wexford Native.
Released from the team were outfielder, Justin Woodrow and catcher, Gary Lee.
The Wild Things face the Rockford Riverhawks tonight at Falconi Field. First pitch is 7:05 p.m.
