
Wild Thing Lose Second to Otters

The Washington Wild Things, presented by Washington Federal Savings Bank, lost to the Evansville Otters Monday at Bosse Field in Evansville, IN.
The Wild Things finish their road trip with three wins and three losses, and an overall record of 7-5.
The Wild Things scored first in the third with two runs with a Pat O'Brien RBI. But the Evansville answered evening the score at two.
The Wild Things looked strong early, staying ahead of the Otters until the sixth inning.
Otters' 1B Cole Hilt hit two home runs on the Wild Things.
Ryan Douglass (2-1) suffered his first loss for the Wild Things, pitching five and two thirds innings, allowing then hits, nine runs (three earned). He struck out six and walked two.
The Wild Things return home to Falconi Field on June 8 when they'll host the Florence Freedom at 7:05 p.m. The first 1000 adults will receive a T-shirt, courtesy of Washington Pharmacy and the Wild Things will initiate members in its newest club, the Silver Sluggers. Silver Sluggers (50 years of age or older) get tickets, meals, discounts, prizes and a chance to "mall walk" the bases after the game.
