
Wild Swaps Bulmer for Gabriel

DES MOINES, IA - Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher on Tuesday announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled forward Kurtis Gabriel from the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL) and reassigned forward Brett Bulmer to Iowa. In addition, Iowa Wild General Manager Brent Flahr announced the team has recalled forward Raphael Bussieres from the Quad City Mallards, Iowa's ECHL affiliate.
Gabriel, 22 (4/20/93), made his NHL debut on Nov. 10 registering five penalty minutes (PIM) and one hit in 2:51 of ice time in the Wild's 5-3 win against Winnipeg. He has tallied two points (1-1=2) and 45 penalty minutes PIM in 15 games with Iowa this season. Gabriel leads the team and ranks T-9th in the AHL in PIM. He owns 22 points (10-12=22) and 185 PIM in 90 career AHL contests. The 6-foot-4, 212-pound native of Newmarket, Ont., was originally selected by Minnesota in the third round (81st overall) of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.
Bulmer, 23 (4/26/92), was recalled by Minnesota on Nov. 16 and skated in three NHL games totaling two shots on goal, two hits and seven PIM while averaging 6:43 in TOI/game. He has recorded two points (1-1=2) and 17 penalty minutes (PIM) in 14 games with Iowa this season. The 6-foot-4, 208-pound native of Prince George, B.C., has tallied three assists and 15 penalty minutes in 17 career NHL contests with the Minnesota Wild. Bulmer has suited up in 110 games for Iowa over the past three seasons, scoring 16 goals and totaling 37 points.
Bussieres, 22 (11/5/93), started the season with Quad City. In 16 games played this season, the left wing leads the Mallards with eight goals and is tied for second in scoring with 14 points. Over the course of two seasons, he has played in 70 games for Iowa, posting 14 assists and 19 points, to go along with 51 penalty minutes. Bussieres was drafted by Minnesota in the second round of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft (#46 overall).
The Wild continues a six-game road trip on Wednesday in Grand Rapids, making additional stops in Charlotte and Lake Erie before returning home on Tuesday, Dec. 8 for a game against the Chicago Wolves. Kids (12 and under) eat free on Tuesday with a "Crash's Kids Meal" courtesy of 96.5 Country of iHeartMedia Des Moines. The meal includes one hot dog, one soda, one popcorn, one fruit snack, and one Iowa Wild prize. It's also a Taco Tuesday, where each fan receives a coupon for a free taco from Taco John's upon entering the arena.

The Wells Fargo Arena box office is open Monday - Friday from 10:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. and closed on Sunday. The Iowa Wild 2015-16 season is presented by Mercy Medical Center, it runs from October through April.
