Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins News Release

Weekly Rewind

Friday, Nov. 20 - PENGUINS 1 at Binghamton 3

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton's franchise-record winning streak was halted at 11 games by the Binghamton Senators as the Penguins' power play ran dry. The Penguins could not convert on six man-advantage opportunities throughout the game, as the Senators rode two first period goals to victory. Rookie Dominik Simon scored the Penguins' lone goal at 16:26 of the second period.

Saturday, Nov. 14 - PENGUINS 5 at Albany 3

Scott Wilson scored twice, including a bizarre game-winning goal that fooled Albany goalie Yann Danis with 5:08 to go in the third period. After Saturday's performance, Wilson leads the Penguins with 11 goals and four game-winning goals. Tristan Jarry made 25 saves to stay undefeated between the pipes in his first pro season (5-0-0-0). Tom Sestito earned an assist and a fight in his return to the line up from injury.

The Week Ahead

Wednesday, Nov. 25 - PENGUINS at Binghamton

Friday, Nov. 27 - PENGUINS vs. Providence

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton returns home for the first time in two weeks for a showdown with a struggling Providence team, which has won two of its last 10 games. The Penguins won the previous meeting- the season opener- 2-1 in overtime.

Saturday, Nov. 28 - PENGUINS vs. Hershey

The Bears come back to hostile territory after falling to the Pens 7-0 in their only game of 2015-16 thus far. Last game, Conor Sheary recorded a career-high four points (1G-3A).
