
Wiggs Nets Career-High in Knicks' Semis Setback to Magic

LAKELAND, FL - The no. 3 Westchester Knicks (30-22), the official NBA G League affiliate of the New York Knicks, were unable to combat no. 2 Lakeland Magic's (33-18) perimeter shooting in the 2019 NBA G League Playoffs Eastern Conference Semifinals and fell 104-91 Friday evening at RP Funding Center.
While the hosts shot 39.5-percent from distance, the Knicks had just two of their 14 tries see the bottom of the net. The Magic also took better care of the rock considerably, committing just seven turnovers contrasting Westchester's 19 miscues. Subsequently, the Magic gave up just eight points off of turnovers while the Knicks sacrificed 29.
Sekou Wiggs led the Knicks with 23 points setting a new career-high for the guard. Wiggs also grabbed a team-high 10 boards and added a pair of assists. Two-Way Player Isaiah Hicks scored 16 points on 88.9-percent to also compliment 10 rebounds.
For Lakeland, Amile Jefferson registered 21 points and 11 rebounds. BJ Johnson put up 20 points and drained a game-high four triples. Braian Angola-Rodas led on the evening with four assists.
