Wichita's Division Title Hopes Still Within Grasp

Wichita, Kan. - Fresh off of a bye week, the Wichita Stealth are ready to battle for the Southwest Division title over the course of the next five weeks. The Stealth (7-4) sit just one game behind the division leading Tulsa Talons (8-3) and one half game behind the Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz (8-4). The Stealth will face these two rivals one more time each in the next five weeks.

The Stealth travel this weekend to Hidalgo, Texas to take on the Rio Grande Valley Dorados (3-8) in a re-match of their week #6 defensive battle, which the Stealth won 35-28 in front of a sold out crowd at the Dodge Arena. The Stealth were led by Baby Ruth Real Deal Offensive Player of the Game Brian Livingston. Livingston finished the night with seven catches for 82 yards and two touchdowns. This victory by the Stealth started a seven game losing streak for the Dorados.

Next week, the Stealth will travel to Tulsa, Oklahoma to take on the Tulsa Talons. The Stealth have been defeated by the Talons twice this season. The Talons defeated the Stealth in Tulsa on June 5th by a score of 62-49 and the Talons won the re-match in Wichita on June 19th by a score of 62-34.

The Stealth will then have two of their last three games in the friendly confines of the Kansas Coliseum. They face the Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz on July 17th and the Rio Grande Valley Dorados on July 31st in the regular season finale.

The last regular season road trip by the Stealth will be on July 24th in Laredo, Texas when the Stealth travel to take on the Laredo Law. The Stealth have defeated the Law twice this season, both times in Wichita.

ON TAP IN THE SOUTHWEST DIVISION THIS WEEK: The Laredo Law (2-9) will play host to the Tulsa Talons (8-3) this weekend and the Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz (8-4) will host the Central Valley Coyotes (1-10).
