Calgary, Alberta -- The Greyhound WHL Player of the Week is forward Chris St. Jacques of the Medicine Hat Tigers.
St. Jacques earned player of the week honours by recording three goals and eight points in three games during the week of March 22nd - 28th.
St. Jacques helped the Tigers win the best of seven series four games to one against the Swift Current Broncos in the Western Hockey League's Eastern Conference quarterfinals.
Medicine Hat will now meet the Brandon Wheat Kings in round two, beginning this weekend in Alberta. The remaining game times will be confirmed later today.
In other WHL news, Swift Current Broncos' forward Colin Stone, who suffered a major concussion in game two of the Broncos opening round playoff series against Medicine Hat has been released from hospital. Stone is the younger brother of Wheat Kings' all star Ryan Stone.
With the Broncos season coming to a close this past weekend, 19-year old Ian White has been recalled from the Toronto Maple Leafs' American Hockey League affiliate, the St. John's Maple Leafs.
