Harlingen, TX - The Harlingen WhiteWings (19-53) sent ten men to the plate to score five runs in the first and sixth innings to beat the Alexandria Aces (45-28) 13-6 tonight at Harlingen Field.

The win snaps an eight-game losing streak for the WhiteWings.

The Aces got on the board against Miguel Sosa (1-0) right away. Bryan Sabatella led off the game with a single. Two outs later, Brian Nichols, hit a home run on the first pitch he saw after leaving the WhiteWings for the Aces.

The WhiteWings responded in a big way against Alexis Sosa, who recorded only two outs in his shortest start of the season. Matt Lawman, David Fowler and Amadeo Zazueta led off with walks. Ryan Fox followed with a three-run double. One out later, Kevin Griffin hit a ground-rule RBI-double. One out after that, Joel Gonzalez hit an RBI-single to make it 5-2. Greg Sillivent was next and got hit in the back by a pitch to knock out Sosa. Ronald Ramirez (1-2) got Lawman to ground into a fielder's choice to end the inning.

With two outs in the second, Eddie Fitzpatrick walked, moved to second a bunt-single by Sababtella and scored on a single by Luis Guance to make it 5-3.

Nichols led off the third with a double. Rafael Ozuna followed with a sacrifice bunt, but the ball was thrown away, allowing Nichols to score and Ozuna to go to second. One out later, Larry Bethea hit a game-tying RBI-single to make it 5-5.

The WhiteWings re-took the lead in the fourth. Fowler led off with a double and moved to third one out later when Fox reached on an error. David Cardona grounded into an RBI-fielder's choice to make it 6-5.

Trey Hendricks led off the fifth with a singled and Gonzalez followed with a walk. One out later, Lawman reached on a fielder's choice as Hendricks moved to third. With Fowler batting, Lawman stole second and the throw went into center field, allowing Hendricks to score, making it 7-5.

Larry Bethea led off the sixth with a no-doubt home run off of Sosa to make it 7-6. He would be pulled after the next two batters reached. Bobby Darling came in to face Sabatella, who tried to put down a sacrifice bunt. Darling fielded the ball and threw to third to get the lead runner while escaping the jam unscathed.

Darling went onto pitch three scoreless inning, allowing just one hit and one walk while striking out two.

The WhiteWings sent ten men to the plate in the bottom of the inning to take a 12-6 lead. Former-WhiteWing Juan Jimenez came out of the bullpen in the bottom of the inning and could only get two outs. With one out, Fox walked. Cardona and Griffin followed with singles to load the bases. Hendricks followed with a sacrifice fly to score Fox. Gonzalez reached on an infield single and Sillivent knocked out Jimenez with an RBI-single. B.J. Litchfield came on and walked Lawman to force in a run. Fowler capped the inning with a two-run single.

The WhiteWings added one in the eighth against Wayne Hedden. Gonzalez reached on an error. One out later, Lawman singled. One out after that, Zazueta hit an RBI-single to make it 13-6.
