
WhiteWings Bring back Lantigua

Harlingen - United League Baseball's Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings announced today they have signed infielder-outfielder Denys Lantigua, who played for the WhiteWings in 2006.
Lantigua hit .309 with six doubles, one home run and 10 RBI in 27 games while playing third base, catcher, outfielder and pitcher. On the mound, Lantigua was 1-0 with a 5.19 ERA. In five relief appearances, he pitched 8.2 innings, allowing 10 hits and one walk while striking out four.
Lantigua also has experience in the Cleveland Indians system with Rookie-Level Burlington (Appalachian League) in 1999 and 2000, where he hit a combined .184 with one home run and 15 RBI in 52 games.
