
Whitecaps FC to Host Toronto FC in 2015 MLS Season Opener

VANCOUVER, BC - Vancouver Whitecaps FC confirmed today that the club will kick off their fifth season in Major League Soccer by hosting Canadian rivals Toronto FC on Saturday, March 7 at BC Place. Kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. PT. The match will be broadcast live on TSN1.
MLS announced on Friday the home openers for all 20 clubs throughout the league. This will be the third time in five years that Whitecaps FC host Toronto FC to start their MLS campaign. The 'Caps have won both previous openers, including a 4-2 win in their inaugural MLS match in 2011 at Empire Field, and a 1-0 victory at BC Place in 2013.
Following their home opener, Whitecaps FC will play their first road match on Saturday, March 14 against Chicago Fire at Toyota Park. Additional information on times and broadcast details for all 2015 MLS matches will be revealed in the coming weeks as part of the complete 2015 regular season schedule announcement.
